🍎 Teacher Treat “Store Front Edition” – Round 2 for September! 🍎
Our second Teacher Treat “Store Front Edition” was proudly sponsored by ARBOR PRO’s Tree Service! 🌳
Throughout the month of October, our Life Skills classroom explored life on the farm, farming as a career, how seeds grow, and all things apples! 🍏🍎 To keep the theme going, we treated our amazing teachers to some delicious Apple Nachos!

🔧🎓 Exploring Future Opportunities! Our 10th grade students recently visited the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) to explore the programs and hands-on learning opportunities available to them.
This was a great opportunity for students to learn about different career paths and begin thinking about their futures!

🫀 What an incredible day for our Anatomy & Physiology students! 🫀
Our high school students had the amazing opportunity to visit Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and observe an artificial aortic valve replacement. It was an incredible experience to see firsthand the connection between what we study in the classroom and the work being done in a real operating room.
Beyond observing the procedure, our students had the opportunity to learn about the education, training, responsibilities, and career paths of the many professionals who work together during heart surgery, including:
🫀 Perfusionists 💉 Anesthesiologists 🩺 Surgical Physician Assistants 🔬 Surgical Technicians ❤️ Cardiac Surgeons 👩⚕️ Operating Room Nurses
Our students were able to see that a successful surgery is truly a team effort, with every member of the surgical team playing an important role. They also got to hear firsthand about the schooling and career opportunities available in each of these fields.
Experiences like this allow students to step outside the textbook and explore the many exciting possibilities available to them in healthcare. Who knows…we may have had a future cardiac surgeon, perfusionist, nurse, or surgical technician standing in that operating room! ❤️
And, of course, a trip to Pittsburgh wouldn't be complete without a stop at Oakmont Bakery for lunch and dessert! 🥪🍰 Because even future healthcare professionals need to refuel after an exciting day of learning! 😉
